The twenty-first Century is the century of the ocean,with the increase of human activities,such as scientific investigation,ocean detection,submarine resources exploitation,scientific development has been extended to the deep sea.With the high attention of the country on ocean development and coastal defense construction,the development of underwater acoustic engineering has an urgent need for underwater positioning technology.In the future,underwater high-precision positioning technology will become an important direction of underwater acoustic research.This paper introduces the basic theory of underwater acoustic positioning technology,introduces the positioning principle and difference of long baseline positioning system,short baseline positioning system and ultra short baseline system in detail,and introduces the three element array beacon positioning technology and four element array beacon positioning technology which can be used in underwater acoustic positioning with high accuracy.This paper analyzes the influence of deep sea environment on underwater acoustic positioning in detail,the factors affecting the environmental conditions and the positioning are analyzed from three aspects: deep sea channel,low velocity of sound velocity and seabed ups and downs.and simulates the impact of deep sea sound loss and channel velocity distribution on positioning.In this paper,a underway positioning technique based on the change of pulse time interval of received signal is proposed.Compared with the traditional positioning technology,this technology reduces the positioning requirements for system complexity,and has low requirements for the size and stability of the platform.It is suitable for small volume towed positioning systems.his paper introduces the principle of the underway positioning technology in detail,and proves that the positioning accuracy meets the requirements of deep-sea positioning with theoretical calculation and simulation experiments methods.
