Design Research Of High-power Diesel Engine Governor Based On Torque Motor

Diesel—the most widely used modern power machinery,has a very important role in the process of China's modernization.As a core component of diesel system,the performance of electronic speed governor determines the overall performance of diesel engine.High power Diesel engine as the marine propulsion is widely used on naval vessels.While as the main component of diesel engine,diesel governor of high power diesel engine has been rely on import for a long time.Woodward and haiziman keep the most part of the market,but this is dangerous for our country.Even though diesel governor of low power and medium power diesel engine can be designed and produced by some national enterprise.But as to high power diesel engine governor has been restricted by high torque actuator.The difference of actuator between high power diesel governor and low medium power diesel is high output torque.Hydraulic actuator and motor actuator is commonly used.Because the processing difficulty and complicate structure of hydraulic actuator.DC torque motor is choose as the actuator in this paper.First of all the function requirement and performance requirement of high power diesel governor is analysis and summarized.According to the analysis and the operation principle of torque motor a primary motor structure is designed.And the final scheme is finally confirmed after discussed with the manufacture.The control system requirement of motor being used as diesel governor actuator is analysis.According to the requirement analysis and the motor design parameter and operate parameters a motor driver and motor position control strategy are developed.The last part is the performance test of the system including motor performance static test and diesel bench experiment is conducted.The experiment result reveal that designed high power diesel governor can achieve fast start up of high power diesel engine,which means that the motor actuator can meet the torque requirement of high power diesel engine.And the governor performance can meet the requirement of second level power station.A similar performance of import diesel governor is achieved.
