Research On Spatial Design Of Tianjin Waterfront Landscape In The Context Of Regional Culture

The city is an organic entirety,and each part of designing the urban environment is also a complex and interactive entirety.The whole and the part are unified in function and form,and both harmonize with the environment.Waterfront landscape is one of the most typical urban environment,and the summary of the most complex,concentrated,active elements of the city environment.The design of waterfront landscape involves ecology,geography,architecture,art and other social sciences.People start living by the water from the ancient times,and with the development of irrigation agriculture and water transport,prosperous cities and metropolis began to emerge.Waterfront landscape witnessed and retained a lot of valuable historical relics of human civilization,which makes it very significant to study.At the same time,the acceleration of the city development process has led to the continuous updating of urban environment construction,which has a profound impact on human's living environment.Due to the rapid economic development,the regional differences among cities are gradually reduced,and the convergence of regional cultural characteristics and the loss of regional environmental characteristics in architecture and landscape design become a phenomenon that cannot be ignored.The local historical culture formed in the process of dynamic development delivered a strong sense of cultural identity and historical continuity in the local people,also possess a sense of belonging,thus,continue this collective memory of the regional environmental art can shape the city's cultural symbols and strengthen the city's emotional identity.In this paper,the author takes waterfront landscape as the research object,under the context of regional design,analyzed the urban waterfront landscape of their own regional connotation,cultural significance and spatial design practices,and trying to establish a systematic theory.From the case study of a specific section of Haihe river,the author hopes to improve the study of waterfront landscape in Tianjin area,as well as introducing into some new thinking,to inspire Tianjin city landscape planning and design practice in the near future.
