Loess is an special aeolian sediment formed by the accumulation of wind-blown silt,during the timing of arid and semi–arid in Quaternary.China has a widely distribution of loess,which most of them are collapsed loess.Therefore,it is obviously that insufficient studying of collapsible loess would create an extremely serious impression on water engineering structure.Additionally,if there is no available measures had been taken during the work,and then it would possibly bring about the foundation collapsing and other critical deformations of the structure which resulting in the structure lost its function.Moreover it could produce serious damage during the construction process which leading to the construction cannot be carried out,resulting in irreparable damage.Currently,there are some mature researches and detailed code for engineer using during the seismic designing of civil building structure.On the contrary,it is rare to find out the specific standard of the concrete structure design of A type seismic fortification in collapsible loess to compliance in practical engineering.This essay based on analyzed the experimental data and soil parameters from a typical project located in Shanyin country Shuozhou city Shanxi province,which are from the wet collapsibilty loess to discuss the detailed characteristics of collapsibility loess in different areas.Additionally,to compare the treatment methods of foundation in different collapsible loess by using the engineering evaluation.Finally,the dynamic compaction method is used to treat the collapsible loess field.Subsequently,to compare and analyze the numerical values of soil mechanics during the before and after the ground treatment.And checking and analyzing the bearing capacity of the foundation by using the mechanical values during the before and after field treatment.The results show that the dynamic compaction method is effective and reliable in treating collapsible loess.Meantime,combined with the practical engineering applications,through the study of circular and square pond,the use of finite element software to simulation the crack width of pond under the seismic load.Furthermore,contrasting and analyzing the crack width of other structures during the before and after the foundation treatment,then the impact of collapsible loess treatment on the crack width of the pond is obtained.Additionally,to compare the size of the crack width with the current standard of limited crack width,obtained the corresponding seismic performance of the pond.Besides,the results are compared with the actual engineering measured values,and with reference to the code for water supply and drainage structure,the code for concrete structures and study the different structural forms of hydraulic structures seismic standards,structural analysis and structural design,etc.,come to a decision which is the same value,the same size,with the seismic load conditions,the circular tank structure is better than the rectangular pool.In this essay,the seismic design method and key points of water hydraulic structures in wet collapsible loess area,which can be used as reference for seismic design of similar structures.
