Car bomb attacks have become a common terrorist in a terrorist attack nowadays.The reinforced concrete structure which suffers impact load and blast wave by a vehicle with explosive will be damaged.In this paper,explicit dynamic analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA is used to study this situation.The primary work and achievement can be summarized as follows:(1)The process of vehicle impact and blast is simulated by the way of different phases of the whole process.The validity of the model of reinforced concrete column is verified by experiments.(2)Parametric studies are adopted to investigate the effects of the dynamic response of reinforced concrete column under vehicle impact and blast.The failure modes of the reinforced concrete column is also analyzed.The results indicate that: increase of vehicle speed and explosive quantity leads to increase of horizontal displacement in the middle of column.The larger column section and increasing stirrup ratio improve the impact resistance of RC column to varying degrees.The increase of concrete compress strength and longitudinal reinforcement ratio can decrease the horizontal displacement in the middle of column.However,the reduced value is very limited.The failure modes of RC column under the combined load cases can be classified into three types: local damage,overall bending-shear failure and overall shear failure.(3)The damage of reinforced concrete column,steel reinforced concrete column and concrete filled steel tubular column under vehicle impact and blast was analyzed.The results indicate that: the dynamic responses of steel reinforced concrete column and concrete filled steel tubular column are weak.The damage of filled steel tubular column is not serious.The damage of the bottom of steel reinforced concrete column is serious.The damage of the head and bottom of reinforced concrete column is serious.(4)The reinforcement effect of reinforced concrete column with SRP outside is analyzed.The results indicate that: the SRP can effectively improve the impact-resistant performance of reinforced concrete columns,which is best when the SRP is three layers.(5)A six story reinforced concrete frame structure is simulated by the method of multiscale modeling.The collapse of the reinforced concrete frame structure was analyzed when the car is set in front of corner column and side column respectively.The results indicate that: the collapse is caused by double columns failure damage when the car is set in front of corner column.the collapse is caused by three columns failure damage when the car is set in front of side column.The collapse of frame structure is more serious when the car is set in front of side column than the situation when the car is set in front of corner column.
