Shear connector is a part of steel-concrete composite beam.The reasonable design of shear connectors is the key to ensure the integral forced performance of steel-concrete composite beam.Three types of shear connectors were research in this paper,including embedded shear conncetors,stud shear connectors and angle shear conncetors.The main work and results are as follows.(1)Embedded shear conncetors:Six kinds of push-out specimens with different hole and stud location were included in the push-out experiment.FE analysis was used to research the behavior of embedded shear conncetors.The failure mode observed in all specimens was concrete splitting.Compareing with hole set in the folded plate,the embedded shear conncetros with hole set in the flat plate of the corrugated plate has the best ultimate capacity.Welding stud outside the flat plate is more effective than welding stud inside the flat plate.A simplified computing formula is given as well in this paper finally.(2)Stud shear conncetors:Five kinds of specimens were designed in this paper to research the effects of stud spacing.The mechanical characteristics,load-displacement curve and failure mode of stud shear conncetors with different stud spacing were studied and analyzed.All of stud shear connectors failed due to shear of the studs.Different local failure surfaces of conceret were seen with different stud spacing.The shear conncetors with large stud spacing has a better mechanical characteristics.The suggestion value of minimum stud spacing was given.(3)Angle shear conncetors:the effects of flange and web thickness,height and width of angle shear connectors were studied by using experimental and FE Analysis.6 push-out tests were carried out to verify the correctness of FE models and an extensive parametric study was conducted to study.In the push-out experiments,the failure mode was the concrete crushing splitting.The angle shear connectors concentrate the applied load on the root of flange and the thickness and width of flange and web are the main factor that influences the ultimate strength of angle shear connectors.The height of flange and web could hardly affect the ultimate strength.The full scale of push-out test were simulated by finite element anlysis and the results were compared with the calculation formula given by design code.
