With the acceleration of urbanization,the increase in the hardened area of buildings and roads has resulted in a reduction of green areas.Urban environmental issues such as the heat island effect,hazy weather,noise pollution and water shortage seriously affect the lives and physical of urban residents.The construction of ecological cities has attracted people's attention.The existing green plants in cities have been unable to solve the increasingly prominent environmental problems.Compared to limited land resources,the facade of buildings has a lot of space to use.The vertical greening has aroused widespread concern.Therefore,the promotion of vertical greening has great research value.Due to the differences in geographical and climatic conditions,the vertical greening in northern China is more difficult to popularize and the existing vertical greening methods are also relatively simple.Therefore,how to design and popularize the vertical greening of northern urban buildings has become a difficult problem.Based on full data research,this paper analyzes the current status of vertical greening at home and abroad.This paper studies the application patterns of vertical greening and summarizes the forms of vertical greening devices for mid-high buildings in northern cities.Furthermore,this paper summarizes the climate characteristics of Shenyang and the plants suitable for outdoor vertical greening in the area.After that,this paper constructs the principle model of the vertical greening device for mid-high buildings.Besides,the thesis designs the vertical greening device,irrigation system and the vertical green display program.The fixed structure of the vertical greening device is combined with buildings and it can ensure the safety of the device.The device uses a modular design that can be easily replaced by users.This method will not affect the appearance of buildings.The architectural greenery is merged with artistic aesthetics so that the traditional effect can be changed.In addition,this vertical greening irrigation system can save water and help create a truly ecological city.
