Along with the development of information technology,GIS has been widely used in the implementation of related business in the field of power system,including power management,distribution management and power management business.At the same time,the comprehensive application of the network technology is also to a large extent for the enterprise to establish a system of solutions to provide technical support,and better promote the power system to achieve the efficiency of resource sharing.Resource sharing is the current power system based on the synchronization of information,the distribution network information and geographic environment influence,not only rely on the traditional information processing technology to achieve,through the GIS to realize the synchronization of information,provide better service for users.Based on GIS developing management information system could solve the main problems in the current transmission and distribution system,thus compressing the management and production costs and improving the efficiency of power protection and benefits.This paper mainly studies the application of GIS in transportation and distribution system.Firstly,based on analyzing the development status of domestic and international distribution automation,it analysis design thinking of transmission and distribution integration based on GIS platform,expounds and analyses the related technologies.Secondly,the system analysis about GIS system of power transmission and distribution system is conducted including feasibility and requirement analysis.Thirdly,in the system design stage,the system module design and the physical scheme are defined,and the function of each module of the GIS and the database are designed in detail.And external interface of the system is analyzed.Then,the system functions are realized by using C# language and database technology.Finally,from the implementation of the GIS project,the paper describes the system testing methods,clears the department involved,the significance of each stage,the decomposition plan,organizational management and quality assurance etc.
