Because of the design method,the non-uniform distribution of the material and the inevitable errors in the manufacture process,generally,the mass center of the rotor in rotating machinery deviates from the rotating center,which causes unbalance in rotor.When the rotor runs at a high speed,the unbalance will generate the vibration and the noise,which influence the operation and even shorten the life of the machine.It’s necessary to eliminate the unbalance of the rotor,or in other word,to perform balancing to the rotor.The disc type rotor is an important kind of rotor in the rotating machinery.Presently,the manual balancing way is widely applied by the inland company,in which the process is an iteration of the manual test and manual correction.The efficiency and the precision are low.Although there are automatic balancing machine from the abroad company,the price is quite high and there are many special requirements for the rotor.Obviously the abroad machine is not fit for the inland companies.In view of the factors above,taking the pump impeller and the cooling fan for the automobile engine,the thesis develops an automatic balancing system,which is suitable for the disc type rotor.The work includes:1)The overall framework of the system is analyzed,the functional modules of the mechanical system and the control system are determined.2)The unbalance measurement device,the clamping device,the unbalance correction device and the expansion fixture are designed.The natural frequency of the vibration body as well as the friction force between the expansion fixture and the rotor are calculated with ANSYS software.3)The control system based on PLC is developed,the function of the machine is analyzed and the execution procedure of the functional modules is confirmed.In order to enhance the operation convenience the touch panel is selected as Human-Machine Interface(HMI).4)Some key technologies of the machine are studied,which include the elimination of the initial eccentricity of the expansion fixture,the measurement of the influence coefficient,the automatic cut setting method and the unbalance distribution algorithm.5)The debugging and the trial operation are performed.The feasibility,the stability and the reliability of the mechanical devices and the software modules are tested.The test data prove the success of the machine.
