Abundant hydropower resources in China,the hydroelectric power is one of important electric power resource in our country.But our country is also located in the earthquake-prone.Especially rich in hydropower resources in the southwest,the seismic activity is very frequent,hydropower project area basic are in high earthquake intensity area.As the primary building of hydropower project,the dam of hydropower possesses important function and high security requirements.The national energy administration stipulates that the dam must be strong earthquake monitored.As one of the important contents of dam monitoring,strong earthquake monitoring refers to using special instruments recorded earthquake engineering structures and the seismic response of venues,which in order to assess the safety of hydraulic structures.Based on the 291 seismic records in Dongqing hydropower station dam strong earthquake monitoring database,made a series of pretreatments(eliminating the wrong point,baseline correction,bandpass filter)for the monitoring record via using the Seismo Signal software,and conventional treatments(digital integration and spectrum calculating).The main researches contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The impacts of the epicenter azimuth on the dam are as follows: When the seismic source at the right bank of the dam,the response of the dam of the left abutment,the waist,and the bottom approximately equal;When the seismic source at the left bank of the dam,the response of the dam of the left abutment is more obvious than the waist and the bottom of the dam.(2)Under the condition of different seismic source and magnitude,the response of the central crest of the dam is the strongest.Meanwhile,the larger the magnitude,the bigger the response.(3)The parameter in the north-south(similar to the longitudinal river)are greater than in the east-west and vertical,shows that the influence of reservoir water dynamic load is remarkable.(4)The seismic response characteristics of the different parts of dam are related to monitoring location and elevation.The magnitude and epicenter distance are the main influence factors.The orientation relationship between the dam and the centrum also can produce important influences.(5)The results can be used as reference material for the dam seismic design and daily safety observation.
