With the rapid growth of civil aviation passengers and cargo throughput in China,the congestion on large airport surface has become an increasingly serious problem.The key to this kind of problems is to understand the formation and evolution rules of surface traffic flow,which turns to be the theoretical basis for scientific airport operation strategy.Taxiway and gate area are important airport surface resources,so the space-time evolution rules of traffic flow at taxiway and gate area need to be further studied.Firstly,the Cell Transmission Model(CTM)is adopted to design the Taxiway Traffic Flow Cell Transmission Model(TTFCTM)and Apron Traffic Flow Cell Transmission Model(ATFCTM),mainly making up the surface traffic flow macro model.The Netlogo is used for TTFCTM and ATFCTM simulation,and the models have been validated by adopting data from a large domestic airport in China.The relationship among traffic flow characteristic parameters and the phase transition rules for TTFCTM and ATFCTM are examined.Secondly,based on above research,the Arrival Runway Traffic Flow Cell Transmission Model(ARTFCTM)and the Departure Runway Traffic Flow Cell Transmission Model(DRTFCTM)are respectively built to study the influence mechanism of arrival rate on the departure traffic flow characteristic parameters.The congestion characteristics of departure traffic flow are analyzed.Finally,the Arrival Taxi Lane Traffic Flow Cell Transmission Model(ATLTFCTM)and Departure Taxi Lane Traffic Flow Cell Transmission Model(DTLTFCTM)are built to study the influence mechanism of strategy on the arrival and departure taxi lane traffic flow.The sensitivity of the control interval and control speed to traffic flow characteristic parameters is analyzed.Simulation results show that surface traffic flow contains three basic phases: free flow state,synchronous flow state and the block flow state.The evolution mechanism among three traffic flow phases is different.The scheduling parameters including arrival rate,control interval and speed can influence the surface traffic flow.According to the phase transition characteristics and evolution mechanism,the real-time scheduling strategy at the airport can be changed to relieve congestion and improve the surface operation efficiency.These research results can provide the theoretical basis and decision support for surface optimization at large airports.
