| Carbon black is widely used in printing and dyeing,rubber,plastic processing,transportation and other industries because of its easy to make,low price,good wear resistance,UV shielding ability and so on.Research at home and abroad shows,The chemical modification of carbon black greatly improves the performance of carbon black,which is the hot spot in the research of carbon black.Also,carbon black has been used to modify asphalt,and some research results have been obtained.However,the modification of asphalt by modified carbon black is still in the blank stage,therefore,it is necessary to study the effect of modified carbon black on the performance of asphalt and its mechanism.Based on the above views,the content of this study is divided into three parts:(1)In this study,different oxidation carbon black was oxidized by different preparation conditions;and different hydroxymethyl carbon black was prepared by different oxidation carbon black at the same process of hydroxymethyl treatment(the hydroxymethyl carbon black equal the modified carbon black was discussed in this paper).The morphology,surface functional group and functional group content of different modified carbon black were measured by environmental scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X ray spectrometer(EDS),acid-base titration,and compared with that of unmodified carbon black;(2)In this study,the modified asphalt was prepared by adding different carbon black in asphalt,and the aging of the modified asphalt was studied by using film aging oven.The effects of different modified carbon black on the physical,rheological and aging properties of asphalt were studied by a series of experiments,The effect of different modified carbon black on the performance of asphalt was compared with that of unmodified carbon black,it is found that the modified carbon black and carbon black can improve the high temperature performance of asphalt.However,the carbon black has no effect on the low temperature performance of the asphalt,and the modified carbon black has a great improvement on the low temperature performance of the asphalt.In addition,the modification effect of the modified carbon black on the rheological properties and aging properties of asphalt is better.(3)In this study,by comparing the performance of modified asphalt made of different modified carbon black,The influence of preparation process of modified carbon black on the properties of asphalt was studied,the optimum oxidation time of modified carbon black is 8h.It is considered that the surface functional groups of modified carbon black can form hydrogen bonds with asphalt,the change of hydrogen bond state at high temperature and low temperature affects the rheological properties of asphalt.Finally,the effect of modified carbon black on the chemical composition of asphalt was studied. |
