V2I and other intelligent transportation technology play a very important role in improving vehicle traffic efficiency,reducing vehicle delays,and reducing fuel consumption and exhaust emissions at the signalized intersection.However,the research on the application of V2I at signalized intersection has not yet started,the existing results are mostly from the macro point of view on the implementation of strategy development and technical means of innovation,and have not explored the influence of V2I application on traffic flow at the signalized intersections.The paper has analyzed the status of V2I and analyzes the composition of V2I system.At the same time,it predicted the development prospect of vehicle coordination system in solving urban traffic congestion,improving traffic safety,alleviating urban pollution and energy consumption.In order to further explore the influence of the application of V2I on the vehicular-operational benefits at the signalized intersection,the paper has analyzed the traffic flow characteristic with the car-following theory.And the influence of V2I application on the driving process of the vehicle had been analyzed,and the related factors was studied.At the same time,the paper analyzed the influence of V2I on the traffic flow at the signalized intersection,and established the theoretical basis for constructing the car-following model considering V2I.Based on the FVD model,an extended model describing the scene of the entrance road vehicle and the starting scene of the queuing vehicle were established to reflect the influence of the V2I on the traffic flow at the signalized intersection.By comparing the simulation results of the FVD model and the extended model,it can be seen that the extended model can reflect the new characteristics of the traffic flow,which can reflect the impact of the V2I on the traffic flow at the signalized intersection.And also laid a theoretical foundation for exploring the impact of V2I on the vehicular-operational benefits of the signalized intersection.Firstly,the influence of V2I application on the vehicular-operational benefits of the signalized intersection is explored by means of simulation.The results indicate that the application of V2I can effectively improve the operating efficiency of intersection.Secondly,it explores the effect of the intelligent vehicle driver on the reliability of the V2I information reception degree,the influence range of the V2I,and the traffic demand at the signalized intersection.The results show that the above factors have obvious influence on the the vehicular-operational benefits of the signalized intersection.The above research provides some theoretical reference for the application of V2I,which has certain research significance and application value.
