Hall anchor is a common non rod anchor.The gripping force is 3 to 5 times of its own weight,and it is widely used in the ship’s first anchor due to its excellent performance.When the ship is docked,it is necessary to put the anchor into the water to stabilize the ship,therefore,the performance of the ship anchor directly affects the safety of the ship.Hall anchor is widely used,its performance is closely related to ship safety.This paper aims at a comprehensive understanding of the strength and other performance of the classical Hall anchor.We carry on the bionic optimization design to Hall anchor,and compare strength and other performance of the design results with those of the classical Hall anchor.Finally,we do the simulation of casting,The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on ABAQUS finite element analysis software,and femfat fatigue analysis software,we analyze the strength and fatigue characteristics of the Hall anchor.The results show that both the strength and fatigue characteristics of the Hall anchor meet the requirements of the modern ship.(2)Coupling CEL method,we simulation grip force of pulling anchor and pulling up in soft soil,compared with the theoretical results.The results show that the Hall holding force is about 5 times its own weight,Instability.The initial pit may cause dragging anchor,at this point we should control the speed of pulling anchor,reduce the tension of pulling up anchor.The grasping force fluctuation near the theoretical value,it can reflect the real situation of the anchor.(3)The anchor crown’s area is too large,which would stop the anchor dragging deeper.We combine the classical structure of anchor and the biological characteristics of the rays,carrying out bionic optimization design for Hall anchor.Comparing the strength & fatigue & other performance of the rays Hall anchor with classical Hall anchor.The results show that the strength and fatigue properties,the stability of grasping force,the characteristics of the anchor’s pulling up power of the rays Hall anchor is better than the classical Hall anchor.(4)Based on casting simulation software magma,combined with Hall anchor existing casting process,we are casting simulation analysis on the rays Hall anchor.After simulation,the casting process was optimized.Finally,the simulation results are compared and analyzed.The results show that the gating system should contains two symmetrically distributed inlets,and we should add the ingate in thin wall parts of the crown.The balance wings on both sides of the fluke should not be casted with fluke,them should be welding with the fluke after casting.
