As an important bridge type in modern bridge construction,the long span continuous rigid frame bridge has the advantages of no supports,no system transformation,less expansion joints,and comfortable driving,But in recent years,the bridge cracks,deformation or even collapse influenced the traffic flow,resulting in serious security risks.The external environment of bridge is an important factor that affects the service quality of it,and the temperature and foundation settlement are the main factors,which have been paid more attention and by domestic and foreign scholars.Midas/Civil,a professional finite element software,was employed to simulate the influences of temperature and settlement of a real construction,Luoxidu Jinsha River Bridge.Based on the results of the post-construction,internal force,stress and deformation were analyzed under different conditions.The main content and results of this paper are as follows:1.A brief overview of the theory of temperature effect and foundation settlement of the long span continuous rigid frame bridge was obtained,and the calculation method of the temperature field,temperature stress and foundation settlement were systematically summarized in this paper:2.With the help of Midas/Civil,influences of temperature and settlement on the post-construction of Xiluodu Jinsha River Bridge were analyzed in the term of internal force,stress and deformation,where gradient temperature,system temperature and two groups of settlements were simulated;3.To alleviate the influence of temperature and settlement,control strategies in different periods(design,construction and post-construction for example)were outlined.
