The increasing of installed wind power capacity has impacted the active/reactive power flow and the stability of the grid. The operating characteristics of wind power has a critical influence on power recovery especially when the electrical grid is in fault,so it's urgent to do a research on the ability of wind farm for providing a dynamic reactive power.Studyed on the improving the technical measures of wind farm voltage characteristics, from the perspective of grid,Studied the influence of wind farm operation on the stability of grid, and analyzed the interaction law between grid and the wind farm, excavated the reactive power regulating potential.which can effectively determine the adjustment range of the reactive power, and then achieved high efficiency voltage control, and it is an important issue must confront today. This paper has made a simulation on the ability of variable speed fan wind farm to provide an dynamic reactive power support and analyze the impact on grid stability, the main contents includes:(1)Modeling wind power integration system in DIgSILENT/Power Factory, which includes variable-speed wind turbine, wind farm, transmission system and dynamic var compensation equipment.(2)Studying dynamic reactive power supporting demand of substation integrated wind farms with voltage level of 220kV or above in various scenarios.Calculating reactive powe/reactive current injected to system to satisfy grid code.(3).Researching dynamic reactive power control strategy of wind farms during and after system faults and realizing low voltage ride through(LVRT)to reduce the fluctuation of frequency and voltage.
