In this paper,through the introduction of the solar cell's development history,research and development stage,fully expounds the current development of the solar cells at home and abroad.Lead to the development trend and the direction of solar cell.Through the research to the physics processes of inorganic solar cells and organic solar cell effect,which leads to the hot carrier solar cells of “the third generation” in solar cells.So I found three forming methods of hot carrier,and found theory methods to improve the battery performance,conversion efficiency of this new type hot carrier solar cell,in order to achieve the purpose of our research and analysis.Our effort focused on four parts: 1? The necessity of exploiting the solar cellsSolar energy is inexhaustible as a kind of renewable energy.With the consumption gradually of traditional non-renewable energy,looking for a new energy has become the top priority.Therefore to develop the solar cell energy will have a signif icant to impact structure in today's society,environment,human production and living.In addition,this paper briefly introduces the present development of solar cells at home and abroad,the development direction of the future,and put forward “the third generation”solar cells.2? Compared the inorganic solar cells and organic solar cells with the principlesSolar cells is a photoelectric device to convert light energy into electrical energy.The inorganic solar cells under the effect of light will produce the electron-hole pairs.Near the p-n junction formed under the action of the electric field,electron-hole to be separated and transferred to the poles respectively,produce electric potential between the poles.When combined with load,battery can produce a current in the circuit,thus on load power.The role of organic solar cell process is divided into four steps:(1)light excitation generated excitons;(2)the exciton in donor/acceptor(D/A)divis ion of the interface;(3)the drift of electrons and holes;(4)the electrons and holes collection of each electrode.3? The mechanism of solar cell energy lossingThe solar cell conversion efficiency by light absorption,carrier transport,carrier collection.Mainly includes the following aspects:(1)Less than the bandwidth of the photon energy is not absorbed,not by absorption of light will be lost in the form of heat;(2)The lattice thermal ionization;(3)The p-n junction and contact voltage lossing;(4)The carriers recombination.4? The research contents of new type hot carrier solar cellsBy describing the concept and effect of hot carrier to conclude that the three forming methods.Researching the cooling of the dynamics with hot carrier,analyzing the contact of the device at each end,to find the methods to improve efficiency and performance of hot carrier solar cell.
