The Performance Simulation And Optimization Of A Diesel Engine Working At Plateau Environment

Diesel engine has been developed for more than and 100 years since its birth in 1892.At present,diesel engine has become one of the most widely used and important power machinery in the world.It is the power source of automobile,ship,engineering machinery and many military equipment.Efficient and reliable diesel engine can not only promote national security and development,but also affect our lives in all aspects.In the field of the development of diesel engine technology,there are some key points for our country,one of which is the adaptability of diesel engine at the plateau environment.The reason is that China has the world's most extensive plateau region,these areas have a lot of occasions require diesel engines,but the harsh environment of the plateau will destroy the efficient operation of diesel engines,resulting in deterioration of the performance parameters of diesel engines,or even unable to work properly.In this paper,the significance and methods of the research on the performance of diesel engine at the plateau environment are analyzed,then according to the certain type of diesel engine developed by CNR Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co.,Ltd,establish the specific research contents.The research contents includes the following parts: basis the design and experimental data provided by the company,using the one-dimensional simulation software GT-Power to establish the simulation model of this type of diesel engine and calibration;The simulation model is applied to simulate the performance of the diesel engine in different plateau conditions and get some results,for example,in the environment of low atmospheric pressure,the change of power,torque,fuel consumption,emission rate,temperature and pressure in cylinder at all speeds,analyze the causes of each parameter change and the impact of these changes on the operation of the diesel engine;study the optimization methods of diesel engine working at plateau environment;according to the problem of this type of diesel engine working at plateau environment,puts forward two kinds of optimization scheme,that is to change the injection timing and use of two-stage turbocharged,then use the GT-Power to simulation the results of this two methods;finally,look forward the future work.
