As an indispensable part of the electric locomotive,the main function of the main transformer is to switch the voltage to meet the needs of various motors and electric appliances.The main transformer is mainly composed of fuel tank,iron core,coil and internal clamp and other components.The main work of this paper is to study the strength of the internal steel structure of the transformer,to ensure the safety of the internal steel structure of the main transformer,and to further study the welding performance of the steel structure and the residual state after welding.Specific contents are as follows:First of all,on the basis of understanding the structure of the main transformer,he structure of the main transformer is rationally simplified.The equivalent boundary conditions are applied to replace the simplified part.Under the specific conditions,the internal steel structure is simulated to study the strength and the security level.The bottom of the transformer tank and the side wall are welded by a certain thickness steel plate.Furthermore,the welding performance of steel plate is studied.TIG welding process was selected for this research.The process of TIG welding is simulated by the double-ellipsoid heat source subroutine DFLUX.The distribution of the temperature field and the residual stress state after welding are analyzed.The TIG welding of steel structures is evaluated according to the results obtained.In this paper,the friction stir welding is used to study the mechanical property of steel after welding process.Establishing the moving heat source subroutine DFLUX to simulate the heat input of the friction between the tool and the material;Researching the influence of the different heat input and size on the temperature field distribution and the residual state of the material after welding.The FSW welding of steel structures is evaluated according to the results obtained.
