Aluminum alloy grid structure is the general name for single-layer shell structure,double-layer shell structure and grid structure whose main bearing members are made of aluminum alloy.It combines the advantages of aluminum alloy material and grid structure.Aluminum alloy space structure is more and more widely used in industry and large public buildings because of the characteristics of good corrosion resistance,light weight,excellent processing performance,cold environment adaptability and high sunlight reflectance.Aluminum alloy grid structure set a high standard for the reliability and spatial direction angle of its joints,so the form of joints should be mechanical joints.TEMCOR joints,bolt-sphere joints,cast aluminum joints and hub joints are four of the most commonly used joints in the aluminum alloy grid structures.In the above four forms of joints,TEMCOR joint is the simplest and has the fastest construction speed.However,domestic and foreign scholars' current researches focus mostly on mechanical property and design of bolt-sphere joints and cast aluminum joints.Researches on mechanical property,design,failure mode and rigidity of TEMCOR joints are few.Therefore,aiming at the shortcomings of the existing researches,experiments of 5 different-sized TEMCOR joints under static load were conducted.Finite analyzing method and large finite software ABAQUS were used to simulate the experimental Process.Simple design method was put forward.The research contents are as follows:1)Experimental study: in the experiment,the ends the beams were simply supported,vertical load were applied in the center of the joint region.Strain gages and displacement meters were used to measure the stress and strain of key position.the mechanical behavior,rigidity,strength and failure mode of specimens are studied.2)Finite element simulation: comprehensive nonlinear finite element analysis(FEA)of 5 different-sized TEMCOR joints which is based on experimental data of mechanical performance experiment under static inter-concentrated load and were conducted by ABAQUS.The FEA also compared mechanical behavior of TEMCOR joints with rigid joints.3)Design method:based on the failure mode and finite element analysis results reduction factor of stress concentration and simplified design formulas were put forward.The research results of the above three aspects provide reference for the design,application and promotion of TEMCOR joints.
