To get more detail of pre-swirl system's temperature drop and power consumption,theoretical and numerical researches were conducted and found that a pre-swirl system can further reduce the relative total temperature of the air by pre-swirling and powering the air.With the analysis of the boundary condition of pre-swirl system,some parameters was supposed to be constant,such as the inlet total temperature and total pressure,the outlet static pressure and mass flow rate,the radial location of the feed hole,and the rotating speed.Based on these conditions,the correlation between the temperature drop and power consumption of an adiabatic pre-swirl system was deduced that the system's temperature drop gets bigger with the reduction of the power consumption.Furthermore,the ideal maximum temperature drop and minimum power consumption was also deduced.The numerical simulation of a simplified pre-swirl system was conducted,which showed the characters of the pre-swirl system's power consumption and temperature drop.The numerical results are in accord with the induced correlation between the power consumption and the temperature drop.More numerical simulations were conducted on three improved models.The characters of all the improved models' power consumption and temperature drop were illustrated.The relationship between the temperature drop and the power consumption of all the improved models has also been proved to be consistent with the deduced correlation.
