| Rammed earth,a word in a awkward position on people’s mind.On the one hand,people agree that rammed earth architecture can keep warm in winter and cool in summer with its comfort.And on the other hand,they think it seems too rough and not quite “high-level”.According to the current requirements of sustainable development,rammed earth has the advantages of local materials,recycling,outstanding thermal storage performance,low cost,etc.As you can see the huge potential of ecological applications.That’s why Europe and the United States developed countries formed a series of widely used construction technology and theoretical guidance through the systematic research for rammed earth material.And presents a number of rammed earth practice construction with modern aesthetic value.Influenced by the environment,a series of rammed earth construction engineering practice and theoretical research started interiorly.The study of theory mainly focused on the rammed earth construction technology and physical properties.Barely attention paid to the development of rammed earth architecture form.Therefore in order to the form as a starting point in this paper and tries to show the availability of rammed earth architecture in modern applications.This paper research from three aspects: Firstly,research the relevant theory and construction elements of rammed earth architecture;Secondly,analysis the refining the cause of rammed earth architecture form and summarize the characteristics of rammed earth architecture form;Thirdly,put forward the new form of rammed earth architecture availability.The basic theory of the paper partly combed the development of the rammed earth construction process from the tradition to the modern change.The construction elements of the rammed earth architecture are briefly discussed.In order to find and summarizes the form characteristics of rammed earth architecture,this paper aims at five aspects as the goal: construction environment,structure,external form,space form and special details of rammed earth construction.Based on the analysis the characteristics of traditional and modern rammed earth architecture cases of domestic and overseas,extracting the geomorphic fusion,ecological characteristics of rammed earth architecture;Building structure have bearing,surround close feature;Template form of external form of the architecture characteristics,the tendency of the architecture by neat to freedom;Building space form from closed to opening space,tend to be more humanized on this characteristic space;The protection of special details of the node characteristics.Based on the study of the form feature,the causes of the generation of modern rammed earth architecture form are mainly because of the material optimization in the construction process,the improvement of the template tool and the scientific development of the construction process on rammed earth wall.Captured the essence of the formation of the design,put forward theoretical basis and bedding for the availability of new form.The last part of this paper,rammed earth material,templates and ram build process generated from affecting rammed earth construction forms.Through the analysis of the case examples,construction principle and the method of demonstration by Sketch Up model structures.The form of rammed earth construction under the new possibility as following: 1,Based on the change of ramming template,put forward the new form of "Integral embedded skeleton”,the possibility of "Half mold release"," No mold release " and new forms of metal net embedded;2,By the "mold rammed walling" to "masonry walling" way of construction changes,come up with new forms of "masonry rammed earth" which can form a separate rammed earth wall possibility of application;3,From the the perspective of rammed earth aggregate,put forward the transmission of light aggregate to add can make new forms on indoor smooth shadow shape.4,From the combination of rammed earth construction and modern materials,a new form of rammed earth wall and stone,translucent material and so on is proposed.At last,through the actual cases,the new form will be used into the construction design.In this paper,part availability is put forward for rammed earth construction in the future.Trying to enrich the research direction and angle of rammed earth construction,and provide a new thinking for people in the professional architecture and structure area.Also hope that through the study of the form to make more people fully understand the development situation of rammed earth architecture,to help the study development of modern rammed earth construction in our country. |
