Vehicle assembly building is one of the most important industrial buildings in the technical zone of space launch site, which is the key facility of "three vertical mode" that is the vertical assembly, vertical test and vertical transport of the space launch site. At present, most of the Vehicle assembly building of the space launch site in the domestic and international space are made of steel structure, some of are made of reinforced concrete structure, but no steelconcrete composite structure is used to the vehicle assembly building. This paper is based on the engineering background of the vehicle assembly building of the new space launch site, and researches the structure system of the steelconcrete composite structure vehicle assembly building systematically on the basis of summarizing the structure form and characteristics of vehicle assembly building in the past.This paper compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages and the engineering cost of three types of vehicle assembly building of concrete structure, steel structure, steel-concrete composite structure, and studies on the applicability of the steel-concrete vehicle assembly building. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the roof of the vertical assembly hall, three kinds of roof structures which are the selection of reinforced concrete box girder roof, the steel truss roof, and the single hinged steel roof of are selected and compared, the impact of various types of roof form on the main structure, the advantages and disadvantages of each, the degree of difficulty in construction and its technical and economic performance are studied. Moreover, according to the characteristics and requirements of the active lifting platform and the vertical transfer gate, the paper makes a special research on the fixed platform of supporting movable lifting platform and the door frame of the connection of the vertical transfer gate, and determines the fixed platform scheme of suspension truss and the structure scheme of the "convex" type of monolithic steel truss door frame. In addition, in this paper, SATWE, PMSAP, ETABS and other structural design software are used for calculating and analyzing stress situation under various working conditions of steel-concrete composite structure vehicle assembly building, and the results of several software are compared to verify the accuracy of the results. Taking into account the project is located in the coastal areas of China's strong typhoon, in order to ensure the safety of the structure of the wind, in this paper, the wind resistant performance of vehicle assembly building was studied by wind tunnel test, the test results are given for the distribution of wind pressure in the vehicle assembly building at the door closed and open two kinds of state, so that it provides test data and guidance for the design of plant structure and component.The research results of structure design of steel-concrete composite structure vehicle assembly building show that: Steel-concrete composite structure vehicle assembly building as a new type of structure form of vehicle assembly building of space launch site, which has the advantages of safe, reliable, advanced technology, reasonable economy, etc, can be used in the future of the space launch field vehicle assembly building and similar construction. The structure design research of steel-concrete composite structure vehicle assembly building is a supplement to the structure system of the vehicle assembly building of the space launch site. Some methods and suggestions in the research can provide a reference for the structure design of the vehicle assembly building of space launch site in the future, which has important social and military benefits.
