Translation is one of the common instability modes for gravity retaining wall.Filling earth counter pressure(piling bags)in front of wall is the main temporary reinforcement measures for instability of retaining wall,and its reinforcement mechanism is that filling earth(piling bags)provides resistance for retaining wall through generating passive earth pressure.However,the filling earth shape is not regular and does not conform to fundamental assumptions of classical earth pressure theory,so the corresponding computing method is poor for passive earth pressure of filling earth berm under the translation mode of gravity retaining wall,and similar projects are also lack of corresponding theoretical basis,so that it is difficult to determine reasonable filling earth range and dimension parameter.Therefore,research on passive earth pressure of filling earth berm under the translation mode of gravity retaining wall is a worthy scientific problem and engineering problem to be explored.For this reason,this paper regards the filling earth berm under translation mode of gravity retaining wall as research object to analyze the computing method and change rule of passive earth pressure.Main research results are as follows:(1)Finite element model of translation mode(T)of gravity retaining wall was established and the rule of distribution of plastic zone of filling earth berm with the different filling earth aspect ratio t was researched: high plastic strain(can approximately be defined as slip surface)when the filling earth berm in passive limit condition under gravity retaining wall T mode is the cut-through plane through toe of wall.when t is small,slip surface is cut out from slope surface and the soil wedge body section presents trapezoid.when t is big,slip surface is cut out from the top of slope,the slipping soil wedge body section presents triangle.(2)Based on limit equilibrium theory,contrapose two different sections of slipping soil wedge body of filling earth,respectively derived passive earth pressure design formulas of the triangle and trapezoid soil wedge body of filling earth berm of gravity retaining wall T model and analyzed the change rule of plastic zone of filling earth berm and passive earth pressure with fill earth dimension and soil body parameters for two different sections of soil wedge body of filling earth berm.The analysis result shows that filling earth shear rupture angle decreases with the increasing of height,gradient,weight,internal friction angle of filling earth,and increases with the increasing of width,cohesion force,dip angle of wall surface.Passive earth pressure increases with the increasing of height,width,weight,cohesion force,internal friction angle of filling earth and decreases with the increasing of gradient,dip angle of wall surface.(3)Sensitivity analysis of various factors that have effect on passive earth pressure of filling earth were carried out through orthogonal test: the height of filling earth has the greatest impact on passive earth pressure of filling earth berm,followed by cohesion,internal friction angle,width,slop angle of wall surface and gradient of filling earth.the weight of filling earth has the smallest impact on passive earth pressure.(4)The research results of this paper were applied in engineering case to verified the validity of simulated result and formula of this text through checked finite element software and analyzed actual situation on site.
