Thermal calculation of electrical equipment is very important.Under any working state,electrical equipment's temperature should be kept within the limits of allowed temperature range.When working stably,the electrical equipment's temperature rise directly affects the stability of the electrical appliances and service life.Oil damping circuit-breaker,which is one of low voltage circuit breakers with oil damping tripping device,has the inverse time overload features.Oil damping circuit-breaker is used in many application fields.It's of important significance to analysis the thermal characteristics of oil damping circuit-breaker.The thermal characteristics of damping oil circuit-breaker were studied by using 3D modeling software Pro/E and the finite element software ANSYS.First of all,the thermal characteristics of oil damping circuit-breaker contact system were analyzed.The sizes of each part of oil damping circuit-breaker were measured by using three coordinate measuring instrument.The oil damping circuit-breaker contact system's 3D model was established in Pro/E.The model was imported to ANSYS and the direct coupled analysis of thermal field and electric field was adopted,and contact system temperature distributions were obtained,and factors for temperature rise of the contact system were analyzed.Secondly,the thermal characteristics of oil damping circuit-breaker of the electromagnetic system were analyzed.The heat production was obtained by calculating the loss of each part of the electromagnetic,and 3D model of the electromagnetic in ANSYS was established for thermal field analysis.The temperature of oil was analyzed when oil damping circuit-breaker works in different ambient tempreture.Finally,the thermal characteristics of the oil damping circuit-breaker were analyzed.Temperature rise test was carried out.The temperature rise of all key parts was measured by using optical fiber.Through the comparison of the simulation data values and the measured results,the simulation results were proved to be correct.
