Research On Architecture Characteristics Of Traditional Dwelling In Tongren,Qinghai With The Perspective Of Cultural Diversity

Cultural diversity and natural difference form a variety of residential architectural style in China.Tongren is located in Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Huangnan,in Qinghai provice.Connecting the Qinghai-Tibet Plateauand the Loess Plateau.Due to its special geographical location,where ethnic migrations integrated and culture exchanged in a long period,ethnic diversity brought about cultural diversity,which construct a certain architectural style and folk customs.Its unique ethnic characteristics fully reflected in traditional dwelling.However,for a long time,few research focus on the traditional dwelling in Tongren while the majority of the studies concentrated on the religious buildings.The study on traditional dwelling in Tongren only did on the surface of the architecture,but not from the view of multi-cultural influence,so that it is unfavorable to protect or develop the local structures.Based on this,this thesis mainly studies the characteristics of traditional dwelling in Tongren from the perspective of diversification.Traditional dwellings and human settlements in Tongren area are chosen as the main object for this study.With variety of methods such as field survey,interviewing,collection of primary data and literature review,the traditional dwellings and human settlements in Tongren have been analyzed.research object and the scope of research was defined primarily and then the research method are described;secondly,the background of the cultural diversity in Tongren was interpreted,as well as its inner relation to and influence ontraditional dwellingand settlements.Finally,typical human settlements in Tongren were selected to analyze their settlement characteristics,structure,texture and its relationship with culture.Also,typical traditional dwellings were picked up to discuss their architecture model,courtyard space,architectural features,building materials,construction and its correlation with its cultural diversity.The author summarized the characteristics of traditional dwellings in Tongren,to further improve the contents of the traditional dwellings.According to previous studies and field survey data,in the perspective of cultural diversity,this study supply the theory of traditional settlements and traditional dwelling in Tongren,not only to provide the basis for the protection for traditional architecture in Tongren,but also provide a reference for the design of the modern architecture in Tongren.
