As a new manufacturing technology,additive manufacturing is gradually infiltrated into many fields of machinery manufacturing,which complement and expand the diversified design and processing method of mechanical parts effectively.And it is a direct manufacturing technology of metal parts which have complex internal or shaped structure and good mechanical performance characteristics.Current research on SLM mostly focuses on materials,equipment,processing technology,but relatively little research is on the changes of design of the new manufacturing technology especially on the traditional parts of the shape design of lightweight parts rapid manufacturing methods.Based on the full use of advantages of SLM manufacturing complex structures,researching on structure redesign of the part with a view to meeting the performance requirements and lightweight rapid manufacturing purposes is meaningful.Following specific contents were studied:(1)Analyze the current situation of parts fabricated by SLM and the problems of the current SLM lightweight rapid manufacturing method.Determine the method of lightweight manufacturing based on the ‘Skin-Frame'.(2)Determine parts reverse data acquisition method based on parts contour features.Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different sampling methods and range of application.Take a complex curved surface parts and a typical mechanical part as examples to acquire parts data and model reconstruction,which provides model for the following part redesign.(3)SLM mechanical properties and yield failure modes of the smaller lattice structure were studied.Study the trends of yield process of different structure size with the structure parameters,which guides the redesign of SLM parts.(4)Raised a design method based on structure strength for reconstruction of parts' inner structure.Establish a high structural efficiency lightweight and strength standards' part.(5)An improved design of the proposed method is proposed,and the method of the main frame design is proposed,which considers the structural rigidity and the whole parts.(6)Stopper and connecting plate is redesign based the above design method.SLM manufactured parts are fabricated and some application tests were done.Lightweight SLM rapid manufacturing parts work well.
