Strong smart grid is the vision of the development of power system in our country,and the global observability of power system is the precondition to realize the intelligent grid.Phasor measurement unit(PMU)as the basic unit of measurement system for wide area power system capacity,with the Beidou satellite navigation system accurate timing advantage,can realize multi node power system real-time measurement,provides a guarantee for a power system fault location technology.In this paper,the optimal configuration of PMU,the fault area and fault type identification,and the fault location technology based on multi segment real time synchronous measurement are studied.Considering the economy,based on the analysis of PMU configuration rules,in order to realize the global observation,in-depth research on PMU optimization scheme,based on a comparative analysis of the three kinds of optimization algorithm,simulated annealing algorithm to realize the optimization of the PMU allocation plan,to achieve a global observation.On the basis of considering the influence of the system fault on the measurement parameters,the IEEE18 node and the IEEE30 node standard system are optimized by PMU,and the algorithm is verified.The use of BFS and DFS to determine the fault area,in order to achieve the recognition of fault elements,action for circuit breaker and protection structure mathematical function model and constraint conditions and fault element identification,voltage and current phase relation on the basis of PMU measurement to determine the fault type.Because of the symmetrical or unsymmetrical faults in the power system,the measurement information contains positive sequence components.In order to realize the accurate measurement of the positive sequence component,this paper adopts the uniform distributed parameter transmission line model.Fourier transform and symmetrical component method are used to extract the positive sequence fundamental component.In order to achieve the accurate location of line faults,aiming at several typical fault types,established two terminal synchronous fault location algorithm based on positive sequence component,the algorithm can be modified online line parameters,to further improve the accuracy of fault location.The PSCAD simulation software is used to simulate the fault location algorithm,and it is proved that the algorithm has high precision and can realize the precise location of the common fault of the power line.
