The studies of reinforced soil mainly focused on the material innovation and reinforcement mechanism.At present,artificial reinforcement material and polymer material are commonly used in engineering,while the natural reinforcement materials rarely used.Natural material for reinforcement has good economic and ecological benefits.In this thesis,the mainly purpose is to investigate the mechanical properties and working mechanism of bamboo strip and flax fiber reinforced soil.The work mainly contains the following several aspects:(1)Laboratory tensile tests of bamboo strip and flax fiber are carried out to study its mechanical properties and reinforced properties,the experiment results show that the bamboo strip and flax fiber are flexible material,and has strong tensile strength.The stress-strain relationship present approximate linear change before the reinforced material damage,it can be seen that the bamboo strip and flax fiber are elastic reinforcement material.(2)Triaxial test and direct shear test are employed to investigate the properties of bamboo strip and flax fiber reinforced sand and clay.And the reinforced mechanism are analyzed according to the test results,the results show that the bamboo strip and flax fiber reinforced effects are mainly embodied on the change of cohesion,which conform the friction mechanism.And there exist the best reinforcement dimensions and reinforcement ratio of bamboo strip and flax fiber reinforced.(3)The research contrast single reinforced natural materials and a variety of natural material mixed reinforcement,the results show that the mixed of bamboo strip and flax fiber is better than the bamboo strip and flax fibers reinforced alone.The appropriate mix of materials can improve strength of reinforced soil better.(4)Based on the analyses of the test results,the calculation model is established,the “crescent binding” calculation formula is deduced considering the stress and strain increment of the sand flax fibers reinforcement.The working mechanism of bamboo strip and flax fiber reinforcement are obtained through the analyses of the laboratory tests results.
