Research On Bags Design Based On Sustainable Concept Of Design

The concept of sustainable design was put forward early in 1980 s.Although the achievements for theory of sustainable design in academic circle currently have been plentiful and profound,we found that it is a relatively vague concept for designers about how to apply the concept of sustainable design into the means of design during the process of product design.So the sustainable design is still in a lower level when it comes to practice,especially in fashion industry,which is serious in environmental pollution.It is extremely urgent to develop fashion industry sustainably,but the methods of sustainable design for fashion industry is still in the initial stage of exploration,resulting in the few achievements of applying and studying sustainable designing concept when designing fashion bags.Consequently,under the heavy pressures such as environmental pollution,high rapid development of economy and the change of social psychology and so on,designers' key role in sustainable design should be pointed out,who should ponder over the modes of developing fashion industry again and reflect the real meaning of fashion design.Practical methods and strategies of sustainable design in bags design should be explored instead of stopping in the vague understanding to the concept of sustainable development only.Currently,there are many researching fruits for the theory of the sustainable design within the industry,while majority of researches about sustainable methods in practice focus on industrial products.So,the research idea of this paper is to find the concept with practical and guiding significance for the sustainable design of bags product by the attemption of arranging the whole development path of theory of sustainable design.And through the existed analysis and research of the sustainable strategy for industrial products and by combining with the existed cases of sustainable design for fashion products,this paper also tries to research and analyze the methods and modes of sustainable design of the fashion products by taking bags design as an object.Being the industrial products as well as the fashion products,the special nature of bags endowed by fashion makes it unsuitable for the sustainable design method studied especially for industrial products.So the feature of life cycle of the bags as the fashion products needs to be deeply understood if the bag products want to be instructed by the concept of sustainable design.This paper tries to integrate the concept of immaterial design in the sustainable design theory with the design of fashion products,implementing innovatively the designing thinking of “things” into the sustainable design of the bags in addition to the thinking of “objects” of the sustainable theory,pointing out that the sustainable design of the bags should focus on the whole product system,putting forward that the mode of the sustainable development for bags design should be found;and the link of the whole life cycle of the bags must be stressed,designing and studying the whole system of bags such as the production mode,aesthetic tendency,emotional design and product matching service.
