The empty wall residential buildings are still widely used in the villages and towns in southern china. The overall stability and the stability of the empty bucket wall are very poor and it is easy to damage or even collapse in the process of normal use or natural disasters. Therefore it is urgent to reinforce and reconstruct the empty wall bearing house,The existing empty bucket wall strengthening method has the disadvantages of complicated construction technology high cost and destruction of the original architectural style. In order to solve the above problems the ECC material is used to reinforce the empty bucket wall. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)This thesis focuses on the seismic performance of rowlock wall before and after reinforcement.By two rowlock wall without strengthening and thirteen pieces of reinforcing wall horizontal low cyclic loading test the researchers analyzed three masonry cavity wall in four kinds of reinforcement methods the effects of two different material categories failure process failure mode the wall of the seismic performance the index, including seismic wall shear capacity hysteresis curve skeleton curve stiffness and stiffness degradation ductility deformation properties experimental results show that the high ductility of fiber reinforced concrete(ECC)reinforcement method is economical and effective.(2)In this paper the ABAQUS integral finite element model the 8 node hexahedral linear reduced integral element and the concrete plastic damage model are used to analyze the nonlinear characteristics of the bucket wall and the wall. The comparison between the simulation results and the test results shows that it is feasible to use ABAQUS software to analyze the seismic performance of the empty bucket wall structure. In this paper the problems existing in the theoretical analysis are discussedand summarized.
