The technological transformation of the small and medium-sized hydropower station is play an important role in the hydropower development in our country. It has a certain reference significance for the technological transformation of the small and medium-sized hydropowerstation that using CFD software to research the effect of the flow component parameter on the performance of the turbine,This paper takes HLX180 - LJ - 36 turbine as the research object, using CAD and UG modify the turbine , then we analyze the flow field by CFD software . Firstly, according to the CAD drawing, we create the 3D model. The three-dimensional solid was meshed by ICEM software. Then we use the CFX to calculate and post processing. By modifying the diameter of guide vane's distribution circle and the shroud and the outlet diameter of runner to study the effect of the flow component parameter on the performance of the turbine. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Under the optimum operating condition and high flow rate condition, The change of diameter of guide vane's distribution circle has little influence on the internal flow, but they influence the channel vortex under low flow rate; The efficiency of the turbine can improve if you increase the diameter of guide vane's distribution circle, especially under low flow rate condition. Compared with the original turbine, the hydraulic turbine efficiency of project 5 was improved by 1.87% under low flow rate and the efficiency was improved by 0.17% and 0.04%under high flow rate and the optimum operating condition. So we can improve the efficiency by increase the diameter of guide vane's distribution circle; Increasing the diameter of guide vane's distribution circle can reduce pressure fluctuation of vaneless.(2)The shape of shroud and the outlet diameter of runner has different influence on turbine under different condition. Increasing the cone angle of shroud and the outlet diameter of runner can improve flow capacity, however, under the condition of small guide vane opening,the efficiency decrease so much that the output dropped; Under the optimum guide vane opening condition, the efficiency will drop, but the flow increased, Compared with the original turbine, the output of project 4 improved 5.4%, the output of project 4 improved 8.3% under large guide vane opening.(3) Increasing the cone angle of shroud and the outlet diameter of runner, the optimum condition of the water turbine will shift towards the large flow direction, The cavitation performance of the turbine is slightly lower.(4) Increasing the cone angle of shroud and the outlet diameter of runner can improve flow,so it can decrease the circulation of outlet of runner under low flow rate, and reduce the pressure pulsation amplitude of draft.
