Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), which has the advantages of small size,small inertia, and high efficiency, is applied widely in different areas. There are many problems in tracking performance, anti-jamming performance and robustness of the PMSM drive system and the traditional control strategies can not achieve high performance for it.Thus,it is worth to take research on efficient control strategy of PMSM control system to improve the performance of the system. In this paper, a vetor control method for PMSM based on three degree of freedom internal model control (3DOF-IMC) is proposed to solve these problems. The work is mainly done on the following aspects.At the first,the method of coordinate transformation is introduced and the mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor is established. Based on the work above, the vector control theory of PMSM is studied and a detailed analysis of id=0 control method,maximum torque per ampere control and flux-weaken control strategy for PMSM is done. The optimal allocation problem of the current is described by formula derivation, which matters the output torque of the motor.Then, the surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) is taken as the study object, and the concept and the nature of internal model control (IMC) are introduced. The robustness of the internal control system is studied and the influence of parameter in the internal model control system is researched on the aspects of response speed,anti-interference and robustness. The design method of internal model controller is also studied. Then, on the basis of the work ahout the traditional internal model control method, a vetor control method for PMSM based on three degree of freedom internal model control is proposed. The robust stability and robust tracking performance of the 3DOF-IMC system are analyzed in detail and the design of the three degree of freedom internal model controller for PMSM vector control system as well, which laid the foundation for the simulation and experimental research.In the last part, on the work of theoretical analysis above, the software named MATLAB is used to take the simulation analysis of the proposed control method, in order to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the theory. A experiment platform for PMSM based on digital signal processor TMS320F28335 is also established. The experiment is taken on the experiment platform with the proposed method. The simulation and experimental results show that the vector control method based on 3DOF-IMC for permanent magnet synchronous motor has better dynamic response, better suppression of external interference, and better robustness to the change of the parameters and model error, compared with the traditional IMC.
