Hybrid control unit(HCU)is one of the key energy management components of hybrid electric vehicle(HEV).With the driver demand power satisfied,it directly determines the power split between the engine and the motor and it has an important influence on the vehicle performance.The AMT-based single shaft parallel hybrid electric bus(HEB)is researched in this paper.A series of energy management strategies are worked out and produced some encouraging results,and they all have good applying foreground.Firstly,an AMT-based single shaft hybrid electric bus with 10.5 meter long that produced by Zhongtong Bus Hold Co Ltd is regarded as the study object.According to the characteristic of its configuration,the control-oriented model of the HEB is built under the environment of MATLAB/Simulink with some reasonable assumptions made.In view of the bus usually runs on a fixed bus line,and its driving condition is repeatable and meaningful to be statistic analyzed.With large amount of driving cycles of a real bus line collected and analyzed,the foundation of making energy management strategies for HEB is established.Secondly,according to the law obtained from statistical analysis of large amount of historical driving cycle of a real bus,a segment-based energy management strategy is proposed and it suits the operating characteristic of fixed-route bus.The equivalent consumption minimization strategy is used to real time implemented.Its effect is proved by the simulation results.After that,a hardware in loop(HIL)test bench is built based on dSPACE and the real time implemented characteristic and the control effect of the energy management strategy is future verified.Finally,in view of the phenomenon of the battery life mismatching with the vehicle life caused by the battery capacity rapidly fade,a real-time optimal energy management strategy with battery aging taking into consideration is proposed during charge sustaining period.Simulation results show that,the energy management strategy coordinates the fuel economy and battery aging of the hybrid electric bus.And the battery aging model has an important guiding significance to improving the battery life and make it equal to the vehicle life.
