Recently,there is a huge necessary for electric power.The transmission of electric power is important.Power transmission-line-system is always crossing widely,and the construction system is always in hostile open country,especially in sandy region.So it is necessary to find a kind of foundation to adapt to sandy region,and a reasonable calculation method to do design calculation which is in order to guarantee the safety of using function.Uplift-load is indispensable for power transmission tower,it is different from conventional load which is vertically downward.In this paper,according to the natural environment conditions of sandy region,selected cable linking with slabs-globe foundation as the research object.And related literature are not involved in the calculation forms the basis of design research.In this article,focusing on theoretical and designing research to find its computing and design method.It did analysis on uplift-loading related research,especially the studies of uplift-loading damage calculation,presented uplift calculation model and did theoretical derivation to get a theoretical calculating formula.Then,in contrast with the related numerical simulation and experiment researches,to verify the uplift resistance calculation model and the uplift bearing capacity calculation formula for cable linking with slabs-globe foundation.Finally,according to the researching results above to do the design case for transmission tower foundation,as follows:(1)According to the related articles researching that the uplift mechanism of uplift foundation are basically identical;on the base of the papers of pedestal pile,uplift bearing capacity is provided by the uplift foundation is closely related to the depth ratio,soil cohesive force and the size of foundation expansion bottom,not to the geometry of foundation expansion bottom.(2)In line with the conclusion of(1),the paper raised a model for uplift destruction.Doing theoretical study to find out a computational formula,then determining the uplift failure calculation model.After that,doing comparison and analyzing to the results of the experiment and numerical as a comparison for the computational formula and model for the uplift destruction.(3)Determining the designing factors' design procedures.(4)Based on the 3 conclusions above,picking up the tower type as 5C2-SZC1,500 kV to dothe Calculation of the design.
