With the rapid development of modern science and technology, the demand for energy is increasing, and the requirement of ecological environment protection is higher and higher, and the electric energy is the most clean and effective energy. To clean as the leading, with electric energy as the center is the inevitable trend of energy development.In the energy supply side, limited and non renewable fossil energy will be mainly used for industrial raw materials, clean energy is bound to replace fossil energy. In clean energy, considering its potential development capacity, solar energy has become the most promising clean energy in the renewable energy sources. According to the experts predict that by the end of twenty-first Century, photovoltaic power generation will become the main body of the world's energy supply.This thesis complies with the development trend of photovoltaic power generation, according to Chongqing's geographical position and resource distribution, starting from the background of the development of solar energy, introduces the advantages and types of solar power photovoltaic power generation, analysis the status quo at home and abroad, expounds the significance of this issue.Secondly, the composition and function, classification and working principle of photovoltaic power generation system are introduced, and the characteristics and application forms of grid connected photovoltaic power generation system are expounded.Again, combined with the current situation of rural power supply system in Chongqing City, the specific research and design of small grid connected photovoltaic power generation system for rural residential use, to understand the parameters of the photovoltaic array, and design its capacity. Selection of valve control sealed maintenance free lead-acid batteries, and the design of its charge and discharge control circuit. Research and design PWM(pulse width modulation) control circuit, DC-DC converter circuit, maximum power point tracking(MPPT) principle. Design an inverter circuit suitable for rural residential use. Design of special support for photovoltaic array, analysis of the form of lightning, harm and lightning protection measures. The access scheme and design principle of small photovoltaic power generation system.Finally, an example is given to analyze the economic and social benefits of the photovoltaic power generation system, and its development prospects are predicted.This thesis focuses on the potential application of solar energy resources in Chongqing area, deep research on the design and application of photovoltaic power generation technology in rural power supply system in Chongqing City, for the rational development and utilization of clean green energy plays an important role.
