With the continuous advance of popularization of higher education,College campus is expanding its scale of development,most universities have long histories,the old campus has been through decades or even hundreds of years of construction and renewal,the increasing number of teachers and students in Colleges and universities means the continuous expansion of campus,it makes the campus land layout crowded,the area of green space decreases,hardening area increased.Large areas of hardened surface make the campus a large amount of surface runoff during the storm,caused enormous pr essure on campus drainage network,this makes rainwater unable to seep into the soil,destroyed the normal hydrological cycle in the campus.University is special function area in city with larger area,population density,and huge water consumption,it has a strong openness,how to deal with the influence of stormwater and how to use rainwater resources will have a greater impact the ways to deal with the storm on the concept of campus teachers or students and other urban systems.Campus is the micro level o f sponge city construction,it is a subsystem that can make sponge city construction really implement,the promotion of sponge city construction model will lead to other social systems,it can play a role model and experiment.This study taking the main campus of Harbin Institute of Technology as an example,using SWMM to simulate the hydrological situation of Rainstorm in campus,simulation of campus surface runoff and drainage process under different rainfall recurrence periods.The area with large surface runoff is obtained,using the storm water control facility to reduce the surface runoff,restore the natural hydrological cycle on campus and strengthen the utilization of rainwater.This study has been further extended on stormwater control scheme,make s tormwater control facilities and campus environment more harmonious integration,using the stormwater control facilities to improve campus environment,enable teachers and students to have a more ecological,more harmonious,higher quality living environment.This paper combines the common computer simulation software of municipal pipe network design with campus planning design,to provide more scientific quantitative data for campus stormwater management and control design,This interdisciplinary research methods can provide research ideas for other colleges and universities to build sponge campus.
