In recent years,a large number of national and regional elevated highways,overpasses,viaducts,etc.have been constructed.Due to the linear ramp,connectivity and other requirements,many irregular bridges have been constructed.Because of the alignment,the structure form of an irregular bridge often has prominent features,leading to more complex mechanical behavior.With years of growth of traffic,some of the irregular bridges under the combined effect of various factors have encountered a number of diseases which can further lead to decreased carrying capacity and could no longer meet the requirements of safety,serviceability and durability.In order to ensure irregular bridge in the working life to achieve their design requirements and to prolong service life,this paper carried out research on ramp bridges of Jinan Bayi Interchange.The operational performance of irregular bridge were studied.Research status of common diseases of irregular bridge were summarized,such as cracks,deck pavement diseases,joints diseases,steel corrosion and so on.Disease situation of Jinan Bayi Interchange was introduced for detailed analysis.The mechanical behavior of Jinan Bayi Interchange were analyzed.On the basis of the finite element analysis of the bridge,the scheme of concrete material condition test,static load test and dynamic load test were designed.The data of tests were collected,such as concrete strength,carbonation depth,reinforcement corrosion condition,thickness of the protective layer,the deflection under load,the strain under load,length of the cracks,and so on.As a result,the carrying capacity of the bridge had declined,the crack resistance does not meet the requirements.And recommendations were given at last.
