Based on the current technical standards for the evaluation of pavement performance of modified asphalt,new modified asphalt was prepared with base asphalt and modifiers by high-speed shearing device.The introduction of SBS and micron fly ash,nano lime carbonate and nano montmorillonite(MMT)respectively results in a new kind of pavement material with high performance.The measurement of penetration,softening point,ductility and other conventional indexes were carried out under different experimental conditions.The rolling thin film oven test(RTFOT)was employed to study the aging performance of MMT/SBS modified asphalt.The experimental results demonstrate that the addition of 5%(mass fraction)SBS to the base asphalt by mixing 4% micron fly ash,2% nano lime carbonate and 4% MMT/SBS respectively can effectively improve.The resulting modified asphalt shows superior performance in the view point of toughness,strength,and thermal stability.The aging test results show that the modified asphalt has more stable performance,with better anti-aging performance.Compared with that of base asphalt,the viscosity of the SBS/MMT modified asphalt can significantly result in decreasing viscosity,the higher softening point and lower penetration after aging.The durability of the SBS/MMT modified asphalt has been effectively improved.
