Along with the society into building industrialization era,and attention of the environmental pollution,modular building has attracted wide attention because of the optimal allocation of resources and high degree of environmental friendly.But the application of modular building in China is still narrow,The design of modular architecture is still with many problems,such as the whole lateral do not meet the standard requirements,insufficient rigidity of the beam,commonly used square steel column against the directly connecting between modular building columns,which influenced the bearing capacity of the whole modular building;such as mobile house,temporary buildings,and the number of floor levels is limited with single and low-rise buildings.The design method of multi-storey modular building is only considered in the vertical load,but the horizontal load such as wind load,seismic load analysis is seldom considered.In order to solve the above problems,this paper presents a type of steel specialshaped column with cold-formed thin-walled beam new box type modular building system.Firstly,determine the component selection and cross section form new box type modular building,put forward suitable for connection of boxes of modular building.Set up three-dimensional finite element model of modular building,carry out mechanical performance analysis on the single box-type modular building.Reveal the different parameters for the modular building of resistance to lateral stiffness.Secondly,making the theoretical analysis on the multi-storey box modular building lateral stiffness.By using the finite element software ABAQUS on several new type modular housing improvement measures carried out a detailed comparative analysis of parameters.Combined with three formula which commonly used at home and abroadfor ordinary frame: inflection point method,D value method,Smith&Coull method,The total number of floor levels and different lateral support settings type of box modular building lateral stiffness,puts forward the improved formula.Providing a reference for the use of the multi-storey box modular building.Finally,using a six storey modular building office construction as an example,researching the seismic analysis of modular building system without support and set up cross support.And by using modular construction improved formula for the bottom shear method analysis.In the process of analysis,the paper made a comparison of the two kinds of supporting structures of modular construction,researching the influence of mechanical performance under different seismic wave function.The improved formula of multi-storey modular construction lateral resistance can be applied in seismic analysis by manual computation.
