China has paid a great attention to the development of underground space in recent years.Efficiently solving urban traffic jams, metro construction has been emphasized and stepped into a golden age.Higher security requirement and more reasonable design of crowded metro staion are inevitable.A large optimization space exists on conventional station for the being of large-size longitudinal beam, which difficultizes distribution of pipelines inside station as well as returning of municipal pipelines outside station.Therefore,slab-column structure gains its advantages as an underground metro station. This flexible structure has a clear and simple force transferring path and reaches architecture beauty by increasing net floor height and flaterning slab without influencing decoration and pipeline distribution. However, buried in soils, metro station suffers a lot from water and soil pressure.Poorly performing under punching load and seismic,slab-column structure may cause great losses and have difficulty in rescue and restoration when damage happens.Based on the forementioned background, this paper operates numerical simulation on static performance and non-linear earthquake response of non-beam metro station through FEM software ABAQUS.For studying mechanical performance of non-beam metro station, the results are believed to provide references for engineering practice. The main contents are summarized as follows:(a)A series of three-dimensional numerical models using soild elements are firstly built. After verifying accuracy of extracting moment from solid element in numerical model,an necessity for three-dimensional analysis of metro station is stated by comparing the three-dimensional model and simplified plane model.(b)Focused on roof slab of slab-column metro station suffering great pressure, several types of column cap are compared through the different moment distribution of roof slab.A well-performanced column cap with inclined cap and supporting palte is finally chosed and different size combinations of column cap on roof's moment distribution are detaily studied as well as compared with roof's moment of conventional metro station.(c)Based on exsiting research on slab-column structure, study on mechanical performance of middle slab is conducted to get curves beteween bearing capacity and displacement including the damage process.Besides, some reinforcement measures' influence on slab's bearing capacity are studied, that is reinforcement ratio of bent-up bar, setttings of stirrup and bent-up bar and built-in steel shear key.(d)Three-dimensional soil-structure interaction numerical models of conventional and slab-column metro station are established to illustrate rules under different strong earthquake wave. Thus, mechanism and rule of non-beam sturucture metro station are explored.(e)As it is showed in forementioned research, column is the weakest part of slab-column metro station under earthquake and needs to be further studied. Therefore, earthquake response of coulmn under different ground peak acceleration(GPA)is showed and different sections of column's anti-seismic performance are discussed.
