Due to the limited land,the buildings in modern cities are usually close to each other.As one of the most important methods of seismic isolation,base isolation has been widely used in recent years.However,the horizontal displacement of isolation structure under earthquake is far greater than the non-isolated structure,which leads to the collision phenomenon.This phenomenon under the near-fault earthquake is particularly serious.It is very important to study the impact response of adjacent structures.In this paper,the damping control of adjacent structures is studied by using the variable friction damper as damping control device.First of all,The existing impact model are reviewed,a new damping function is derived and an improved Hertz-damp model is proposed based on the Hertz theory,the result of the improved impact model is compared with the results of other models,then the dynamic responses of isolated structure collision under near-fault earthquake are studied,and response characteristics of the non-isolated structure,the isolation structure without considering the collision and the isolation structure considering the collision are comparatively analyzed;Secondly,combined with shape memory alloy(SMA)and piezoelectric friction energy dissipation device,a new type of piezoelectric friction damper is developed;In the end,numerical simulation of the adjacent isolation structure with the variable friction damper is carried out,the performance of the single degree of freedom adjacent isolation system and optimal arrangement of dampers in isolated structures with multiple dampers are studied.The results show that,compared with other simulation results collision model,the improved Hertz-damp model has high precision;The new type of piezoelectric friction damper possesses the advantages of high energy dissipation of friction damper and self-resetting function of the SMA damper,and the restoring force is simulated by Bouc-Wen model and Graesser model respectively;The damper can effectively reduce the response of the structure and it can achieve preferable damping effect after arranging location optimization.
