As high cost of engine removal,non-routing issued can bring great economic burden to airlines.Scientific removal plan should contain the prediction of engine performance decline trend and engine components damage development trend, taking into account the fleet overall operation, maximum use of whole engine life on the premise of engine safety and reliability, arrange engine removal time reasonably and control cost within an acceptable range.Engine removal interval prediction can help engineers making removal decision. It is necessary to study the effect of various factors on interval of engine removal.Engine structure damage was chosen as object to research its influence on engine removal interval in this paper.Emphatically analyses the effect of damage of engine HPT blades to engine removal interval.Analyses engine main structure's failure mode and failure cause based on **Airlines CFM56-7B engine borescope data. Also, the analyze of HPT blade failure mechanism are provided.Weibull distribution is used to set up HPT blade initial failure model. And then use HPT blade damage data fitting its damage development trend.Calculate engine blade repair-replacement time based on manual threshold and analyze the effect of HPT blade damage on engine removal interval as to provide theoretical basis for scientific and reasonable removal plan.
