In the field of aero-engine manufacturing, machining of the parts made by superalloy material, one of difficult-to-machine materials, has always been the eager to be solved, which affects the delivery of the whole aero-engine. Improvement of machining process for the some type of Labyrinth Disc in the High Pressure Compressor of aero-engine is researched in the thesis in order to solve the machining problems, such as longer machining circle, larger deformation of part, higher tool wear, and higher dependence on the operator, etc.Based on the investigating of the foreign machining technology, the problems in the current processing are analyzed; the machining process is studied considering three aspects of the machining in the thesis. The main research results and the stage achievements are shown as follows.(1) In the light of the large machining allowance of the Labyrinth Disc and the long machining circle problems, the processing route of the blank and the allowance are improved to reduce the weight of the forging blank by 30% and above. The manufacturing procedure is reduced from 33 to 29, which can cut down the processing time by 50%.(2) In the light of the deformation and the dimensionally out of tolerance problems, the reason of the deformation is analyzed in the thesis. Based on the improving of the processing route, new fixture tools are designed. By analyzing the clamping force and the way to clamp,the reasonable scheme is proposed to control the deformation.(3) Based on the improving of the processing route and the fixture tools, the machining tools experiment is developed and the optimal cutting tools are found. By cutting force experiment of superalloys, experiment of the amount of cutting and experiment of the influence of roughness, the optimal cutting scheme of the semi-finishing and finishing of the part is proposed. The high tool consumption problem is solved by using numerical controlling machining.Through the above research and process improvement, verified by actual processing, the improvement is significant. The problem of long machining circle and unstable quality of the Labyrinth Disc in the High Pressure Compressor can be solved fundamentally. By using the research in the company, the qualified rate rises from 80% to 100%. This thesis offers valuable experience in the superalloys disc machining. In summary, this paper has both application value and popularization meaning.
