Based on the Quebec Mountain tunnel located in Suizhou, Hubei province, this paper makes an in-depth study on the monitoring and application of the tunnel with small clear distance.Through the settlement monitoring of the surface near the tunnel portal, the deformation monitoring of the surrounding rock, the settlement monitoring of the vault, the displacement of the arch, blasting vibration and other monitoring methods, the construction method and monitoring procedure of the Quebec Mountain tunnel is introduced.The relationship between the deformation of the surrounding rock, the settlement of the ground surface, the rock column in the tunnel and the monitoring measurement are discussed. The main conclusions are as follows:1.In this paper, Hubei Suizhou Quebec Mountain tunnel engineering practice to carry out in-depth studies of highway tunnel construction monitoring and measuring technology and applications, describes the process and methods of measurement of the tunnel construction monitoring, information feedback and forecasting, measurement data the processing and analysis were studied.2. The method focuses on the construction of the tunnel dong and monitoring and measuring process, analysis and application of research monitoring and measuring results,and undesirable phenomena construction were reviewed. Results not only successfully used in the construction of the actual project, for other similar engineering design,construction, monitoring also has some reference value.3.By using Midas GTS three-dimensional numerical simulation method, from the aspects of deformation on the up and down the steps method and whole section method,and the reserved core has carried on the comparative analysis method,to determine the up and down the steps method is the most suitable for chief peak mountain tunnel construction method, and the distance between the constraints from the left and right tunnel, respectively take 12 meters, 18 meters, 24 meters, 36 meters and left tunnel linking, etc., the left tunnel is obtained in 36 meters above, the tunnel deformation has barely increased.
