| Spiral seal is a kind of non-contact dynamic seal,and it is a new type of sealing technology which has been slowly developing since nearly a century ago.This sealing method can be used in sealing gas or fluid.Although fluid is of high temperature,Containing particles,being corrosive or having poor lubricity,this method is effective.In recent decades,spiral seal has been successful used in some high-end fields in China.Spiral seal is getting more and more attention from people.Due to the condition of application of the spiral seal is complex,there are a lot of parameters affecting the operating effect at present.In view of these reasons,this paper conducted the following research:Firstly this paper introduced the working principle and formation of each fluid of the spiral seal and presents that when the fluid field pumping flow rate is greater than or equal to the differential of leakage flow,the spiral seal structure will play an important role in sealing.On the basis of theoretical analysis,this paper made a numerical simulation of the spiral seal equation.it analyzed the flow type and kinematic equation of sealing medium by using the method of combining the theory and simulation,and established pumping flow and leakage flow model.Then it carried out an optimum design of the parameters of spiral seal structure so as to obtain the optimum parameters.The parameters are as the reference for the selection of spiral sealing structure parameters under the condition of laminar flow.Finally,three-dimensional model is established according to the initial parameters of spiral sealing fluid,and the positive&negative of Screw,pumping flow and leakage flow are simulated respectively by using software CFD-Fluent.It then studied when rotation speed,dynamic viscosity,sealing length,interval,groove depth,relative slot width and thread Angle change,how the sealing ability of spiral sealing change by using a single variable method.The results verify the rationality of theoretical analysis and sealing liquid formula... |
