Recently, with the further applications of vehicular multimedia entertainment system, advanced driver assist system(ADAS),lane departure detection system, etc.,the contradiction between the fast-growing bandwidth requirement and the present limited bandwidth has emerged. The occurrence of vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V),vehicle-toinfrastructure(V2I),5G and automated driving technology also brings a large amount of traffics, which further aggravates above contradiction and makes great challenges to the present vehicular networks. As a result,in order to cope with the urgent demands for bandwidth,a novel framework with high bandwidth and low latency needs to be proposed. The vehicular time sensitive networking(TSN)is a new type of network based on Ethernet audio video bridging(Ethernet AVB),where the Ethernet audio video bridging(Ethernet AVB)is a framework by adding to the original IEEE 802 standard with IEEE802.1Qav,IEEE802.1Qat,IEEE802.1AS and other corresponding auxiliary protocols. In this way,the Ethernet AVB framework could meet the above requirements with respect to bandwidth and latency by accurate clock synchronization and bandwidth reservation. This study is supported by a pre-research project from a famous telecommunication company in China. The project focuses on the research of the IEEE802.1Qat protocol, namely the Stream Reservation Protocol(SRP)and the Multiple Stream Registration Protocol(MSRP).The work of this study is mainly focused on the research and implementation of the MSRP and the IEEE 802.1ak protocols(Multiple Register Protocol,MRP)used in the MSRP protocol. At first,we deeply study the MRP protocol with respect to its architecture, attributes declaration components, attribute propagation components, state machine, timer, event type, protocol action, frame structure and the attribute propagation procedure. After that,we further study the attribute types, frame fields, protocol primitives and the unique attribute propagation components of the MSRP protocol. Then,as our main objective,we describe the principle used to reserve the stream bandwidth for stations. At last, the detailed process for bandwidth reservation based on MRP and MSRP protocols is given with designed flowchart.Next, after the deeply analyzing of the MRP and MSRP protocols, the software architecture of them has been designed for implementation. We further give out the function design of each module, the data structure, the main program flow and the processing flow of each subroutine, respectively. Finally,we introduce the implementation details of the MRP and MSRP protocols on the bridge, and point out the difference between the implementations on bridge and terminal. In the end,a cross compile is made on the platform provided by our partners. Then,we successfully transplant the executable program procedure to the test board. It is shown that the results have met all the specified requirements...
