Perimeter Intrusion Detection System based on leaky coaxial cable is a detection system which uses buried leaky coaxial cables as its T/R antennas.Owing to its strong antiinterference,great concealment,superior false alarm performance,and strong environment adaptability,the system gets increasingly use in security area.Therefore,the development of high-performance perimeter intrusion detection system based on leaky coaxial cable has significant engineering application value.Focused on the design of the T/R module,the contents of this paper can be divided into the following sections.Firstly,the basic knowledge of the leaky coaxial cable is introduced to get a better understand of its operating mode.Secondly,the working principles of the Perimeter Intrusion Detection System is studied deeply.Based on the basic theory,a new dual cable simulation model is established and the coupling characteristics between a pair of leaky coaxial cables is analyzed,and an implementation scheme of the T/R module is given based on Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave ranging technology.Thirdly,the main performance parameters of the T/R module are analyzed and determined,and the selection of the chips needed to implement the T/R module is made.The chip parameters are used for system-level simulation of the T/R module.Based on the simulation results,a new Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave ranging method for the Perimeter Intrusion Detection System is proposed,and its ranging accuracy can reach about 2 meters in simulation.Finally,the hardware circuit schematic of the T/R module is completed.
