With the development of intelligent automobile technology and the support of the Ministry of Education on students’ practice activities. Digital Picture Processing is a basical and hard part in the Freescal Cup Intelligent Car Racing.This paper studied the camera-based tracking car image processing algorithms in order to improve the accuracy of road path identification and provide an image processing library for the contestant. In order to reduce the difficulty, this paper designed an auxiliary teaching system based on the camera tracking car, providing learning programming opportunities for high school and junior high school students. The system can be divided into two parts: visual programming module and simulation&debugging module. Users do not need a deep understanding of hardware and software system of the intelligent car, they can complete the programming by daraging the blocks. Users can also do the off-line debugging and simulation over the system. In this paper, the design of the auxiliary teaching system provides a friendly programming environment for the programming beginers. Further more, the rich simulation and debugging tools in the system also provide the user with good testing support.
