The Application Of Tenon Structure In Product Design

Descending from ancient times,mortise and tenon structure is an architectural creation of ancient Chinese,an accumulation of traditional Chinese skills,a great invention for the connection between the components.Wisdom lies in the connection between small structures,witnessing the development and change of society.Mortise and tenon structure is a represent of construction and support of building,revealing the component connection technology in furniture product.Born from ancient people's life experience and wisdom,mortise and tenon structure represents Chinese traditional culture.Mortise and tenon structure provides exquisite technical references for modern product design.Its rich and detailed structures make modern product structure design shine brilliantly.This paper gives an analysis on the evolution,development and application of mortise and tenon structure to explore the structural changes.Through the research on application field of mortise and tenon structure,cases are analyzed to look for the breakthrough point of design.The study on mortise and tenon structure is not only a summary of the previous art,but also a continuation of the future design.Based on previous researches,this paper gives an analysis on product examples with mortise and tenon structure in modern design from the point of view of design.Finally,the mortise and tenon structure is applied to the product design practice.
